IAB BULGARIA WILL MONITOR THE COMPLINCE WITH THE WORLD STANDARDS ON ONLINE ADVERTIZING IN BULGARIA

Bulgarian Branch of the International Digital Advertising Organization IAB (Interactive Advertising Bureau) will monitor the implementation and compliance with the new standards for Internet advertising.

The Board of Directors of IAB Bulgaria has called on all its members to comply with the world standards, and next year on the website of IAB there will be a list of all the media that apply them.

The new standards provide for advertising formats to be “lighter”, thus allowing each web page to load faster, and each advertising format must be created to look the same on the different types of devices on which it is displayed. According to the IAB decision, intrusive ads are absolutely not tolerated.

With the development of these new standards, IAB focuses on consumer experience and the ability for brands to reach each potential customer in a new and more effective way.

IAB Bulgaria is working hard to promote good practices in the home market, according to the decision of the Board of IAB Bulgaria, and the President of IAB Hristo Hristov is convinced that the adoption of the new standards will be beneficial for both consumers and the media and advertisers.

Although only advisable, the implementation of the new standards will lead to the development of the digital market in our country. Hristov is positive that all leading media and advertisers will comply with the new IAB standards.

Expect the updated IAB Bulgaria Code of Ethics, as well as a set of standards and guidelines from the international IAB organization regarding Display Advertising, HTML5, Native Advertising and standardization of terminology for paid media publications.
